Administrative assistant

Groupe ABS inc. based in Blainville, QC is inviting applications from suitable candidates for the position of Administrative assistant who are self-motivated and have good interpersonal skills. The candidate who got selected will be required to start work as soon as possible. The vacancies refer to Permanent employment or Full time job. Job Description

  • The candidate must determine and implement office procedures and routines.
  • The candidate should be able to schedule and confirm appointments.
  • The candidate will be in charge of answering phones and forwarding phone calls and messages.
  • The candidate must respond to electronic inquiries.
  • The candidate will be expected to compile data, statistics, and other information.
  • The candidate will be responsible for opening and distributing regular and electronic incoming mail and other material, as well as coordinating information flow.
  • The candidate will be in charge of typing and proofreading forms and other documents.
  • The candidate must respond to employee inquiries and complaints.
  • The candidate will be expected to oversee the preparation of reports.
  • The candidate must manage contracts.
  • The candidate must develop and implement policies and procedures.
  • The candidate will be responsible for assigning, coordinating, and reviewing projects and programmes.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in French language.
  • The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must be able to multitask.
  • The candidate should be client focused.
  • The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • The candidate must be well-organized.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

Computer and technology knowledge

  • The candidate must be familiar with Electronic scheduler, Database software, MS Excel, MS Office, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Windows, and MS Outlook.

Technical terminology

  • The candidate must be familiar with engineering terminology.

Area of specialization

  • The candidate should be familiar with correspondence, reports and records, contracts, statistics, charts, tables, graphs and diagrams, and construction.
