Job description

  • Candidates will provide expert opinion, critical analysis, strategic advice.
  • They will lead the implementation of climate change programs, policies and strategies related to adaptation. 
  • They will report on the implementation of and evaluate the effectiveness of adaptation actions in increasing resilience and reducing risk.

Job requirement

  • Candidates must have post-secondary education in environmental policy, sustainability, environmental science, natural science, engineering, public administration, or a related field.
  • They must have experience in developing or implementing climate change, sustainability and/or environmental strategies/action plans.
  • They must have experience in researching, analysing, and synthesising, and reporting technical information and complex data.
  • They should possess experience with project management (i.e., planning, implementing, and reporting on complex projects), preferably in a climate change field.

Work setting

  • Candidates must have the ability to effectively communicate technical information in a variety of forms (including written, oral, and visually) to a variety of audiences.
  • They should possess the capability to draft decision-making documents such as option papers, briefing notes, backgrounders, and communications packages.
  • They must have strong organisational and time management skills.
