Job Description

  • The candidate must calculate and prepare cheques for payroll.
  • The candidate must calculate fixed assets and depreciation.
  • The candidate will be responsible for keeping financial records as well as establishing, maintaining, and balancing various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  • The candidate will be responsible for maintaining general ledgers and financial statements.
  • The candidate must prepare additional statistical, financial, and accounting reports.
  • The candidate must prepare tax returns.
  • The candidate must prepare a trial balance of books.
  • The candidate must reconcile accounts.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a College/CEGEP diploma.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate should be accurate.
  • The candidate should be client focused.
  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • The candidate should be organized and flexible in nature.
  • The candidate should be reliable.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

Experience and specialization

Computer and technology knowledge

  • The candidate must be familiar with Accounting software, Caseware/Caseview, MS Excel, MS Word, Quick Books, Simply Accounting, and TaxPrep.

Additional information

Security and safety

  • The candidate must have a basic security clearance and criminal background check.
  • The candidate must have proof of immunization.

Transportation/travel information

  • The candidate has access to public transportation.
  • The candidate must be willing to travel.
