Job Description

  • Applicants who applied for this post are accountable for implementing detailed plans and recommending policies/procedures regarding program-specific requirements.
  • They’re also accountable for managing assigned projects, ensuring effective teamwork and communication, high standards of work quality and organizational performance working at this post.
  • Candidates are accountable for coordinating the planning work and the work priority in complex phased projects working at this post.
  • People who applied for this post are required to assist in the resolution of delay claims and disputes that may arise through the execution of construction activities working at this post.
  • Candidates are also accountable for analyzing and correlating data and preparing reports and studies for submission to management and council on program-related matters applied for this post.

Job requirement

  • Candidates must attain post-secondary education in a related discipline, for example:- Landscape Architecture, Civil/ Coastal/ Water Engineering, to be eligible for this post.
  • Candidates must attain dedicated experience leading complex, concurrent and multi-disciplinary capital construction landscape projects for major parklands to be eligible for this post.
  • They must possess and maintain a valid Province of Ontario Class “G” driver’s license and be able to access a vehicle, as needed, for site visits to be eligible for this post.
  • People applying for this post must attain the ability to manage consultants and contractors as well as diverse partner interests.
  • They must have highly developed analytical, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills to be considered as an asset for this post.

Work setting

  • Applicants are accountable for collecting, maintaining and analysing data in cost control and capital variance reports.
  • They’re also accountable for developing business cases related to staff resource requirements and financial and operational plans working at this post.
