Job Description
- Applicants who applied for this post are accountable for working cooperatively with other members of the Home management team on professional matters and decision-making related to resident care and service.
- Candidates are also appointed to facilitate and participate in the development of community partnerships and linkages working at this post.
- Candidates are also accountable for acting as a representative for the facility on committees within the community working at this post.
- They’re appointed at this post to evaluate the overall effectiveness of nursing services applied for this post.
- Candidates are also appointed to this post to ensure that nursing assessments, observations and interventions are accurately collected and documented.
Job requirement
- They must have extensive experience in nursing management in a long-term care or continuing care/rehabilitation facility.
- Applicants must attain current registration with the Ontario College of Nurses as a Registered Nurse to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must have a strong understanding of policies and related legislation or initiatives and their significance and potential impact to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must attain strong interpersonal and communication skills. Along with this, they must have strong financial acumen, planning and organizational skills to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must attain the ability to manage competing priorities and demands in an environment with high expectations and frequent and competing deadlines.
Work setting
- Candidates must attain excellent negotiating, conflict resolution, project management, strategic, analytical and problem-solving skills to be eligible for this post.
