Job Description

- Candidates are also required to administer the post office to meet retail hours of operation and delivery expectations working at this post.
- They’re accountable for managing postal revenue, assets and values. Not only this, they’re appointed to assist with the effective management of mail delivery routes.
- They’re accountable for sorting mail to postal boxes and may supervise staff working at this post.
- Applicants are also accountable for keeping the post office neat and presentable and maintaining cleanliness in accordance with Canada Post’s standards working at this post.
- They’re accountable to the operating office with due diligence and efficiency working in this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates must attain a high school diploma or provincial equivalency and experience in business administration to be eligible for this post.
- They must be owned or leased premises available one month before the date of hire.
- Candidates must have experience in interacting with the public in a retail and service environment, including sales and cash transactions to be considered as an asset for this post.
- Applicants must know regulations, methods and procedures for processing mail and providing postal services.
- They must be physically fit to lift mail containers of up to 50 lb, push or pull boxes, and sort mail and stand for extended periods to be eligible for this post.
