La Rose Bistro is located at Hunter River, PE. The company is currently looking for applications for the role of Server – food and beverage services. We are in search of a self-disciplined individual with outstanding interpersonal skills. The selected applicant will be required to join and take their responsibilities at the earliest. The open positions are for Seasonal employment or Full time job. The timings of shifts may be Day, Evening, Weekend and To be determined.

Job Description

• The candidate must be of legal age to mix and serve alcoholic beverages.
• The candidate will be responsible for addressing customer complaints or concerns.
• The candidate must present bills to customers and accept payment in cash, credit or debit cards, travellers cheques, or room billings.
• The candidate must describe menu items, including daily specials, to customers.
• The candidate will be responsible for enforcing provincial/territorial liquor laws and regulations.
• The candidate will be responsible for advising on menu selection.
• The candidate must balance cash and keep sales records.
• The candidate must clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs.
• The candidate must describe and advise on wine selection.
• The candidate must greet customers, present menus, make recommendations, and answer questions about food and beverages.
• The candidate will be expected to conduct sensory evaluations of wines.
• The candidate must be able to serve food and beverages.
• The candidate must supervise other servers and bussing staff.
• The candidate will be responsible for taking orders and relaying them to kitchen and bar staff.
• The candidate must train staff.
• The candidate must assist clients/guests with special needs.
• The candidate must provide excellent customer service.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English language.
• The candidate must have a certificate of Secondary (high) school graduation.
• Candidate having experience is an asset.
• The candidate must have a Food and beverage server trade certificate, Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, Responsible Beverage Service Certificate, and Food Safety Certificate.
• The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
• The candidate should be client focused.
• The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
• The candidate must have excellent oral communication skills.
• The candidate should be organized and flexible in nature.
• The candidate must be capable of acting on their own initiative.
• The candidate should be reliable.
• The candidate should be a good team player.

• The candidate must be able to work in hot conditions.

• The candidate must work in restaurants and bistros.

• The candidate must be willing to work long hours in bending, crouching, and kneeling positions.
