Job Description

  • The candidate will be responsible for examining patients, taking histories, ordering laboratory tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures.
  • The candidate must consult with other medical practitioners to assess patients’ physical and mental health.
  • The candidate will be responsible for prescribing and administering medications and treatments.
  • The candidate must inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases.
  • The candidate must participate in health-care policy and planning.
  • The candidate will be responsible for advising patients about health care.
  • The candidate must report births, deaths, contagious, and other diseases to government authorities.
  • The candidate will be responsible for communicating health promotion, disease, illness, and accident prevention to patients.
  • The candidate will be responsible for acting as the patient advocate.
  • The candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing primary patient care.
  • The candidate will be responsible for providing acute care management.
  • The candidate must provide counseling and support to patients and their families on a wide range of health and lifestyle issues.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must have College of Family Physicians Certification (CCFP) Certification and be licensed by provincial or territorial authorities.
  • The candidate should be client focused.
  • The candidate should have effective interpersonal skills.
  • The candidate should be organised and flexible in nature.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.
  • The candidate should give importance to values and ethics.
