Job description
- Candidates will perform a variety of sales/customer service activities to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
- They have to operate a computer point of sale system.
- They must have the ability to maintain floor displays.
- They have to conduct merchandising and inventory control.
- Candidates have to maintain a high level of postal products, services and delivery knowledge.
Job requirement
- Candidates must attain experience in operating mail processing equipment like clearing jams, removing mail from sorting machines.
- They must be able to operate a computer to key in data, when applicable.
- They must have to review mail items for address accuracy, proper postage, etc.
Work setting
- It is required to stand in one place for up to 3.5 hours at a time for candidates.
- They must have the ability to give physical effort in the handling of mail items weighting up to 22.7 kilograms (50 lbs) and carrying mail items weighing up to 15.9 kilograms (35 lbs) and bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, etc.
