Job Description

• The candidate will disinfect pens, barns, and poultry houses.
• The candidate must be able to handle animals.
• The candidate must mark livestock to prove ownership.
• The candidate must monitor animal health.
• The candidate will be responsible for feeding and tending animals.
• The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
• The candidate must ensure that farm safety and biosecurity procedures are followed.
• The candidate will be responsible for maintaining quality control and production records.
• The candidate must perform general farm duties.
• The candidate will install and monitor water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns, pens, and chicken coops.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
• There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• A candidate with experience is an asset.

Work site environment

• Farm operations include hog and pig farming, and other miscellaneous crop farming.

Work setting

• The candidate should work in a rural area, where most people live or work on farms or ranches. Rural areas include hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements.
