Job Description
- The candidate must apply fertilizers.
- The candidate must clean the crops.
- The candidate will be responsible for cutting agricultural crops.
- The candidate will be responsible for dividing freshly harvested produce into marketable and non-marketable lots.
- The candidate will be responsible for grading vegetables and fruits into different grades according to the size, shape, colour and volume in order to fetch high price in market.
- The candidate must harvest vegetables by hand.
- The candidate will be responsible for maintaining and managing growth of vines, vine canopy and grapes.
- The candidate must pack fruits and vegetables.
- The candidate must pick row and orchard crops.
- The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
- The candidate must sort fruits and vegetables.
- The candidate will be responsible for weeding.
- The candidate must clean the work area.
- The candidate will be responsible for fertilizing and spraying crops.
- The candidate must harvest crops.
- The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
- The candidate must examine the product’s quality and readiness for market.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in English language.
- There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
- Candidate having experience is an asset.
- The candidate must be able to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
- The candidate should be organized and flexible in nature.
- The candidate should be reliable.
- The candidate should be a good team player.
- The candidate must be a quick learner.
Work site environment
- Farm operations include corn farming, fruit and vegetable combination farming, organic farming, and viticulture.
- The candidate must be able to work in wet/damp, dusty, hot, and dirty conditions.
- The candidate must work in all weather conditions.
Work setting
- The candidate should work in staff accommodation that offers live-in accommodation when an employer provides a housing offer to its employees.
- The candidate should work in a rural area; most people live or work on farms or ranches. Hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements are in or surrounded by rural areas.
