Job Description
- Candidates working in this post are required to identify, prepare and manage annual operating budget requirements for Transit’s garage facilities.
- People applying for this post are required to oversee and manage schedules related to on-street and station/terminal stop infrastructure maintenance requirements, etc.
- Applicants are also required to ensure facility assets and operational procedures comply with operating standards and policies working at this post.
- Candidates are appointed to provide technical advice on Transit’s facilities, equipment and maintenance programs to ensure equipment standards meet Corporate requirements and best practices are documented working at this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have completed a diploma in a related field, like a Certificate of Facilities Management, Building Environmental Systems, Business, etc, to be eligible for this post.
- They must have a minimum of 6 years progressive experience in facility operations or facility maintenance with 2 or more years in a supervisory and leadership role, preferably in a unionized Facilities Services environment.
- Candidates must have proficiency in Microsoft Office like Word, Excel, Outlook, etc and familiarity with engineering drawings to be eligible for this post.
- Applicants must know about collective agreements and experience with working in and supervising a unionized environment to be eligible for this post.
Work setting
- Candidates must have a valid Ontario Class “G” driver’s license, are required to travel to various site locations and need to meet and maintain corporate standards for a good driving record to be eligible for this post.
