Job Description
- Candidates appointed at this post are required to assist with the logistics of equipment to and from Torngat Mountains National Parks.
- They’re also appointed to participate in monitoring activities and assist in maintaining backcountry accommodations working at this post.
- Applicants are also appointed to assist in recording and reporting wildlife sightings in the park applied for this post.
- They’re appointed to act as a Bear Guard working at this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have a secondary school diploma or an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience related to the position to be eligible for this post.
- They must attain experience in travelling on land and sea to be eligible for this post.
- Applicants must attain experience in camping and hiking for extended periods to be eligible for this post. They must attain dedicated general knowledge of mechanical problem-solving to be eligible for this post.
- Applicants must attain the ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and terrain.
- They must attain the ability to follow procedures and protocols and to report on issues.
- Applicants must attain the ability to engage and assist Park visitors when needed to be eligible for this post.
Work setting
- Candidates must have to obtain and maintain Reliability Status security clearance.
- They must have possession of a valid class 5 driver’s license or equivalent .Applicants must attain the willingness to work and/or travel in varied terrain, weather conditions, isolated locations and by various means of transportation to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates are also appointed to ensure the willingness and ability to perform physical labour and lift to 50 lbs to be eligible for this post.
