Job Description
- They’re required at this post to observe, detect, prevent, and apprehend shoplifters within the locations working at this post.
- They’re appointed to detain and interview shoplifters when warranted.
- Candidates are also appointed to observe, detect and report internal dishonesty to the Warehouse Manager and Regional Loss Prevention Manager for approval to investigate.
- They’re appointed at this post to provide reports of potential internal theft situations to the warehouse manager.
- They’re also appointed to detect, identify and report possible shrink reduction opportunities within our operations to Management.
- Candidates appointed at this post are required to prepare reports for internal use and for potential prosecution.
- Candidates are appointed to maintain evidence collected and report files from investigations.
- Candidates at this post are appointed to follow and maintain knowledge of Costco procedures and applicable laws in performance of duties.
- Candidates are required to attend meetings and seminars regarding loss prevention to be eligible for this post.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have completed a high school diploma and have a valid loss prevention license to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must have loss prevention experience to be eligible for this post.
- They must have strong understanding and knowledge of the Criminal Code of Canada relating to theft and fraud offenses to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must have dedicated communication, observation, and problem-solving skills to be eligible for this post.
