Job Description
- The candidate will be required to manipulate sections of pipes or drill stems at the rig floor during drilling and remove and replace pipes, drill stems, and drill bits.
- The candidate must handle, sort, and move drill pipes, tools, cement, and other materials.
- The candidate will be responsible for cleaning up the rig areas.
- The candidate will assist with setting up, dismantling, and transporting drilling and service rigs and equipment.
- The candidate will drive trucks to transport materials and well-service equipment.
Job Requirements
- The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
- There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
- A candidate with experience is an asset.
- The candidate must have Oil Sands Safety Association (OSSA) basic safety orientation (BSO) Certification, a Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate, a Hydrogen Sulphide Awareness (H2S) Certificate, a Rig Worker Fall Protection Certification, and a Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate.
- The candidate must be able to handle a weight of up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
- The candidate should be a good team player.

- The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
- The candidate must be able to work at heights.
- The candidate will be required to work in confined spaces.
- The candidate must be willing to work in hazardous conditions.
- The candidate must be able to work in wet/damp and hot conditions.
- The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
- The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.

- The candidate must have work experience in Alberta, British Columbia, the Prairies region, and the Territories.
