Job Description

  • The candidate will be responsible for diagnosing livestock health issues.
  • The candidate will be responsible for directing farm feed inventory activities.
  • The candidate will be responsible for monitoring the calving process.
  • The candidate must monitor animal health.
  • The candidate will be responsible for treating livestock health issues.
  • The candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers.
  • The candidate must ensure that farm safety and biosecurity procedures are followed.
  • The candidate will supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations.
  • The candidate must perform general farm duties.
  • The candidate must maintain farm machinery, equipment, and buildings.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in the English language.
  • There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate should be a good team player.

Work site environment

  • Farm operations include beef cattle ranching and farming, including feedlots, as well as grain, oil, and forage crop farming.

Work setting

  • The candidate should work in a rural area, where most people live or work on farms or ranches. Rural areas include hamlets, villages, towns, and other small settlements.
  • The candidate should work in a staff accommodation that offers live-in accommodation when an employer provides housing to its employees.
