Job description
- Will be required to tend to emotional well-being of children.
- Will be required to take children to and from school and to appointments.
- Will be required to supervise and care for children.
- Will be required to sterilize bottles.
- Will be required to prepare formulas.
- Will be required to change diapers for infants.
- Will be required to prepare and serve nutritious meals.
- Will be required to organize, activities such as games and outings for children.
- Will be required to keep records of daily activities and health information regarding children.
- Will be required to maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
- Will be required to instruct children in personal hygiene and social development.
- Will be required to discipline children according to the methods requested by the parents.
- Will be required to bathe, dress and feed infants and children.
- Will be required to prepare infants and children for rest periods.
- Will be required to help children with homework.
- Will be required to travel with family on trips.
- Will be required to assist with child supervision and housekeeping duties.
- Will be required to assume full responsibility for household in absence of parents.
- Will be required to tend to school going children of ages six to twelve years.
- Will be required to work in the employer’s or the client’s home.
- Optional accommodation is available at no charge on a live-in basis at the employer’s home.
- Live-in accommodation is not a condition of employment.
- The work site environment should be kept scent free.
- No smoking will be allowed inside the employer’s house.
Requirements
- The candidate should have a Secondary high school graduation certificate.
- The candidate should have an experience of at least 2 years to less than 3 years.
- The candidate should have a First Aid Certificate.
- The candidate should have knowledge in emergency child care first aid.
- The candidate should have a CPR training certificate.
- The candidate should be able to work in the employer’s home.
- The candidate should have their Bondable checked.
- The candidate should have their Child welfare check done.
- The candidate should have a Drug test check done.
- Reference will be required from trusted sources.
- The candidate should have a child abuse registry check done.
- The candidate should have a driver’s validity license check done.
- The candidate should have a driving record check done.
- The candidate should have a criminal record check done.
- The candidate should have a valid driver’s license.
