Job Description
- Candidates working at this post are appointed to repair various systems including hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electronics, and engines.
- Candidates are also appointed to repair & inspect and maintain UPS diesel, propane, CNG and gasoline vehicles in a regular and timely manner.
- They’re also appointed to operate company vehicles within the UPS facilities & on public roads.
Job requirement
- Candidates must be able to lift to 70 lbs and willing to work evening or night shifts.
- Candidates must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment and attain possession of a valid Red Seal 310T or 310S license.
- They must have possession of essential trade tools and equipment.
- Candidates must have possession of a clean driver’s abstract/record which must not have been obtained more than a month ago before your interview date.
- Candidates must ensure no violations for the current year and no more than 2 violations for the previous 3-year period then only they get preferred for the post.
- Candidates must not attain accidents and a maximum of 5 demerit points for the previous 3-year period to be eligible for this post.
- Candidates must attain strong organizational skills and troubleshooting skills to be eligible for this post.
- They must pass a pre-employment road test to be eligible for this post.
Work setting
- Candidates will have to work mainly indoors and occasionally work outdoors.
- They’re also required to be exposed to hot/cold temperatures when working outdoors.
- They’re required to wear a UPS Auto Mechanic uniform and adhere to the company’s Appearance Guidelines.
