Job description

  • All candidates will be responsible for assessing students’ academic records and histories in order to help students identify academic specializations. 
  • They are also responsible for developing, providing, evaluating and assessing academic advising services, personal development.
  • They are responsible for retention of approximately 14,500 Aboriginal, domestic, programs and projects for the Faculty of Arts.

Job requirement

  • Candidates must hold experience in post-secondary advising or counseling and administration required (UBC experience preferred).
  • They are also required to have the ability to use a systematic approach in solving problems through analysis of problems and evaluation of alternate solutions.
  • All candidates must have Bachelor’s degrees such as those offered by the Faculty of Arts preferred. 

Work setting

  • They must also have additional responsibilities for this position: assisting in the development.
  • They are also required to have incumbent works independently, with initiative and autonomy under the general supervision of the Associate Director.
