Job Description
- Candidates are appointed at this post to start the day in the depot, sorting and preparing the day’s deliveries.
- They’re also accountable at this post to return to the depot to unload the day’s incoming mail and packages for later delivery.
- Candidates applying for this post are required for the operation of material handling equipment.
- People who apply for this post are appointed to receive and accept mail items, sort, scan and sequence and batch mail items working at this post.
- Candidates are also appointed to transfer and dispatch parcels and packets and perform other postal clerk duties as required.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have a valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s license with a safe driving record for at least 3 years to be eligible for this post.
- They must have the physical ability to lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg and carry items weighing up to 15.9 kg regularly throughout the day to be considered as an asset for this post.
- Candidates must attain the ability to work in all types of weather and must have the availability to be on-call possibly evenings and weekends .
- Candidates must attain the ability to read, write and speak English and French to be considered as an asset for this post.

- They’re accountable at this post to complete reports, documentation, load and drive a Canada Post postal vehicle working at this post.
