Job Description
- Candidates who applied for this post are required to coordinate and supervise the project planning, design and construction of new worksheets working at this post.
- Applicants are also accountable at this post for consulting with internal stakeholders for project requirements for the new City Works Yard applied for this post.
- People who apply for this post are appointed to work with the project consultant to obtain all necessary design approvals and construction permits.
- They’re appointed at this post to ensure projects stay on budget and schedule, regularly visiting the various Works Yards, Service Centres and construction sites and monitoring the progress of all projects.
- Applicants who applied for this post are required to provide project advice and technical guidance as needed.
- They’re accountable at this post for providing consultants’ invoices for work completed and preparing and approving change orders.
Job requirement
- Candidates must have post-secondary degree or diploma in Civil Engineering to be eligible for this post.
- Applicants must be licensed Professional Engineers or Certified Engineering Technologists in good standing.
- They must have membership in Professional Engineers Ontario or the Ontario Association of Certified Technicians and Technologists to be eligible for this post.
- They must attain a minimum of 7 years’ experience in the planning, design, and construction of municipal infrastructure.
- Candidates must have project management professional certification to be eligible for this post.
Work setting
- Candidates must attain excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask and address customers’ concerns promptly to be eligible for this post.
