Job Description 

  • Applicants are required to update and maintain spreadsheets, databases, and data entry.
  • They’re also accountable at this post for photocopying, opening and distributing mail, and other general clerical duties working at this post.
  •  Applicants who applied for this post are required to maintain and update the Councillor’s contact list.
  • Candidates are also accountable for budget monitoring in the organization.
  • They’re accountable at this post to attend and assist in the organization of events working at this post.

Job requirement 

  • Candidates must attain post-secondary education with two to five years of experience in an administrative-related position to be eligible for this post.
  • Applicants must have a minimum of 3 years of experience working with elected officials, which is highly preferred for this post.
  • They must have prior knowledge of the City sufficient to obtain information in response to constituent questions and issues and to refer constituents to be eligible for this post.
  • Applicants must have a strong ability to multitask and take on a variety of assignments.
  • They’re accountable at this post to organize, prioritize and manage tasks and responsibilities toward timely completion, adjusting priorities as required.
  • Candidates must attain the ability to maintain composure in stressful and difficult situations to be eligible for this post.

Work setting 

  • Applicants are accountable for preparing social media posts and communication pieces for the Councillor.
  • They must have working knowledge in a Windows environment with experience in the Internet and web posting and social media postings and website creation/maintenance to be eligible for this post.
