Job Description

  • The candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, or replacing built-up roofing systems with materials such as asphalt saturated felts, hot asphalt, and gravel.
  • The candidate will be required to install, repair, or replace a single-ply roofing system using waterproof sheet materials such as modified plastics, elastomeric, or other asphaltic compositions.
  • The candidate will be expected to install, repair, or replace shingles, shakes, and other roofing tiles on buildings’ sloped roofs.
  • The candidate will be required to install sheet metal flashings.
  • The candidate must install and repair metal roofs with hand and power tools.
  • The candidate must apply waterproof coatings to concrete or other masonry surfaces beneath or above ground level.
  • The candidate must be able to read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications.
  • The candidate will be expected to erect scaffolding to allow safe access to roofs.
  • The candidate will be expected to estimate materials and quote costs.

  • The candidate should be willing to work in an outdoor environment for long hours.
  • The candidate will be required to work in dusty, wet, hot and cold weather conditions.
  • The candidate must be able to work at a height and not be afraid of working at a height.
  • The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
