Job Description

  • The candidate must interpret oral communication from one language to another aloud or with electronic equipment.
  • The candidate must interpret for people who speak Aboriginal or foreign languages.
  • The candidate will be responsible for interpreting language for individuals and small groups.
  • The candidate will be responsible for disseminating updated linguistic information.
  • The candidate must identify terminology used in a specific field of activity.
  • The candidate must maintain the content, context, and style of the original material.
  • The candidate must perform quality control and proofreading.
  • The candidate must provide advisory services to translators, interpreters and technical writers.
  • The candidate will be responsible for translating a variety of written material.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related industry.
