Job Description

• The candidate must perform a pre-operational inspection.
• The candidate must perform preventive maintenance.
• The candidate must operate and drive straight or articulated trucks in order to transport goods and materials.
• The candidate will be responsible for performing pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, as well as overseeing all vehicle aspects.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English language.
• There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• Candidate having experience is an asset.
• The candidate must have a Class 3/3F/DF licence (trailer truck, vehicles with more than 3 axles), as well as an Air Brakes Endorsement.
• The candidate should be reliable.
• The candidate should be a good team player.
• The candidate must be well-organized.

Work setting

• The candidate should work in an urban area with a high population density.
• The candidate should work in various locations when employees are scattered across different worksites.
• The candidate must work on construction sites.

Experience and specialization

Documentation knowledge

• The candidate must be knowledgeable about inspection reports (pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip).

Type of trucking and equipment

• The type of trucking and equipment is dump truck.

Transportation/travel experience

• The candidate must have prior travel experience in the local area.

Specialization or experience

• The candidate must be familiar with the Green Economy sector.

• The candidate’s driver’s licence should be thoroughly checked for validity.
