Job Description

  • The candidate must maintain, troubleshoot, and manage the use of local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, computer workstations, and peripheral equipment.
  • The candidate must evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software.
  • The candidate will be responsible for providing problem-solving services to network users.
  • The candidate will be responsible for implementing data, software, and hardware security procedures.
  • The candidate will be responsible for performing routine network startup and shutdown procedures, as well as maintaining control records.
  • The candidate will be responsible for performing data backups and disaster recovery operations.
  • The candidate will be responsible for setting up local area networks and connections to the Internet.
  • The candidate will be responsible for implementing network traffic and security monitoring software, as well as optimizing server performance.
  • The candidate will be responsible for modifying web pages, applets, and scripts.
  • The candidate must research and apply meta-data to websites, as well as register Websites with search engines.
  • The candidate must respond to requests for help and information from Website visitors and Website designers.
  • The candidate will be responsible for performing web server backup and recovery operations.
  • The candidate will be responsible for supervising technical staff.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate must have a College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 1 to 2 years of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate must be able to supervise 1 to 2 people.
  • The candidate should be accurate.
