Job Description

  • The candidate will be responsible for clearing fields of wood and stone.
  • The candidate must develop specific plans to prioritize.
  • The candidate must be able to handle animals.
  • The candidate must organize tasks in order to accomplish the work.
  • The candidate will be responsible for livestock feeding.
  • The candidate must plant, cultivate, and irrigate crops.
  • The candidate will be responsible for treating livestock health issues.

  • The candidate must harvest crops.
  • The candidate will be responsible for feeding and tending animals.
  • The candidate will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of farm safety and biosecurity procedures.
  • The candidate must operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment.
  • The candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the work of general farm workers and harvesting labourers.
  • The candidate must ensure that farm safety and bio-security procedures are followed.

  • The candidate must clean stables, barns, barnyards, and pens.
  • The candidate must detect disease and health issues in crops, livestock, and poultry.

  • Farm operations include beef cattle ranching and farming, including feedlots, chicken farming, hay farming, hog and pig farming, layer poultry farming, livestock combination farming, organic farming, other grain farming, other miscellaneous crop farming, other vegetable and melon farming (excluding potato), grain, oil and forage crop, horticultural field crop, livestock, potato and vegetable production, and poultry and egg production.
  • The candidate will be required to work long hours in an outdoor environment.
  • The candidate must be able to work in dusty, hot, wet/damp and dirty conditions.
  • The work site environment is noisy, and the candidate must be able to work with complete concentration even in such conditions.
  • The candidate must work in an environment with a high concentration of odours.
  • The candidate must work in all weather conditions.
