Job Description 

  • Candidates working in this post are appointed to obtain, review, and analyze regular reporting from asset managers and advisors. 
  • They’re also appointed to review individual property budgets on an annual basis and prepare periodic consolidated portfolio reports on earnings and performance.
  • Candidates are also appointed to prepare pension plan investment portfolios’ reports, analyses, presentations and business cases for the Canada Post Board of Directors, Pension Committee, and Investment Committee. 
  • They’re required to manage and maintain effective working relationships with the asset managers, advisors and senior executives within the Corporation.
  • Candidates working in this post are appointed to design, develop and recommend new reports for portfolio investment activities, and results, utilizing industry or sector-specific computer software and evaluation models, where applicable. 
  • Candidates are appointed to keep abreast of market conditions and conduct investment research. 
  • They’re also appointed to meet with investment and leasing brokers for research purposes.

Job requirement 

  • Candidates must have completed undergraduate degrees in Business,  Finance, Real Estate and others. 
  • Candidates with a master’s degree are eligible for this post. 
  • Candidates with chartered financial analyst designation are preferred for this post. 
  • They must have 5 to 10 years of relevant functional experience to be eligible for this post. 
  • They must have 2 or more years of experience managing people.
  • Candidates must have designation and or certification programs. 
  • They must have excellent team building and leadership skills and experience to be eligible for this post. 
  • They must attain the ability to mentor and train Associates or Portfolio Managers.

Work setting 

  • They must have excellent sound organizational, analytical, judgment and decision-making skills with proven abilities in problem-solving to be eligible for this post.
