Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

  • The candidate will be responsible for assisting the Restaurant Manager and restaurant team in achieving the Restaurant Business Goals through the effective implementation of assigned Product/Service Quality and/or Cleanliness & Sanitation (C&S) Programs.
  • The candidate will be expected to assist the Restaurant Manager and the restaurant team in achieving the Restaurant Business Goals through the effective implementation of assigned Crew Management activities.
  • The candidate will be expected to assist the Restaurant Manager and restaurant team in achieving the Restaurant Business Goals by effectively implementing assigned cost management activity.
  • The candidate will be expected to assist the Restaurant Manager and restaurant team in achieving the Restaurant Business Goals through the effective implementation of managing operations of assigned Packaged Programs (if any)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Sales Target Achievement

  • The candidate will be expected to ensure that the shift sales target is met by implementing a sales programme during the shift.
  • The candidate must ensure that the shift sales target is met by implementing a feedback and suggestion system (from sales building to evaluation) during the shift.
  • The candidate will be expected to ensure that shift sales targets are met by implementing customer surveys and continuously interacting with customers during shifts.
  • The candidate must ensure that the shift sales target is met by staying up to date on competitor products, services, and activities that affect restaurant sales performance.
  • The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the shift sales target is met by implementing proper restaurant merchandising.
  • The candidate will be expected to ensure that the shift sales target is met by implementing community relations activities.
  • The candidate will be responsible for managing the operations of the assigned Packaged Program (if applicable).

FSC (Food, Service, and Cleanliness) Target Achievement

  • The ideal candidate will be familiar with the Product Quality Program.
  • The ideal candidate will be acquainted with the Service Quality Program.
  • The ideal candidate will be familiar with the Sanitation and Pest Control programme.
  • The candidate will be expected to prepare and update the Production Control Guide, Supplies/Station Guide, Master Cleaning Schedule, and Repairs & Maintenance Schedule.
  • The candidate will be expected to lead/manage the service crew in order to achieve the highest levels of product quality and supply availability and to ensure that the product is always available during the assigned shift.
  • During the shift, the candidate will be required to respond to customer feedback and complaints. Ensure the highest level of customer service throughout the shift.
  • The candidate will be expected to put speed of service programmes in place (turnaround time; table turnover during peak; attention to pending orders)
  • The candidate will be expected to manage shifts and consistently implement floor control standards by supervising opening, mid, and/or closing activities procedures. Carry out cleaning tasks (including opening and closing).
  • The candidate will be responsible for implementing the manpower schedule.

Profit Target Achievement

  • During shifts, the candidate will be required to implement cost management activities, standards, and procedures.
  • The candidate will be responsible for carrying out plans for the Food Cost and Paper Cost (FCPC) program/initiative/project.
  • The candidate will be responsible for maintaining an optimal level of inventory as well as minimising usage levels during shifts.
  • The candidate will be responsible for implementing crew schedules as well as monitoring manhours usage and sales per man-hour levels. Manage crew productivity by implementing a crew schedule during the shift and tracking manhours and SPMH levels.
  • During shifts, the candidate will be expected to keep track of repairs, maintenance, and utility costs, as well as to implement management measures, documentation, and guidelines.

People Management & Development

  • During the shift, the candidate must organise, lead, and manage the restaurant team.
  • During shifts, the candidate will be expected to develop and implement the game plan, tasks, activities, and schedules.
  • The candidate will be expected to build and monitor the crew’s competency level through the implementation of the Crew Training System.
  • The candidate must help with crew assessments, performance appraisal documentation, and submission.
  • The candidate will be expected to lead crew meetings.
  • The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the Code of Conduct (Employee Handbook) and all HR and legal requirements and procedures are followed consistently.
  • During the shift, the candidate will be responsible for managing effective management-crew communication, feedback, coaching, and discipline.

Operational Administration

  • The candidate will be responsible for managing the requisition, issuance, and inventory of supplies (food and paper).
  • The candidate will be expected to put in place standard procedures and control systems to ensure the restaurant’s safety and security programme.
  • The candidate will be required to document feedback and to follow-up and corrective actions as needed.
  • The candidate will be expected to check, monitor, and provide feedback on restaurant permit and licence compliance.
  • The candidate will be expected to carry out scheduled restaurant preventive maintenance by providing feedback on supplier service and/or carrying out an equipment checklist.
  • During the shift, the candidate will be expected to manage office organisation and orderliness.
  • The candidate will be responsible for overseeing and implementing crisis prevention programmes and processes.
  • The candidate will be responsible for ensuring timely completion, accuracy of required reports, and timely submission.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • The candidate will be required to perform other tasks as directed by management from time to time.
  • The candidate will be required to prepare periodic status reports on restaurant operations and/or technical services/support to the Restaurant Manager, as well as any other reports that management may require.
  • The candidate will be required to perform administrative duties as needed, such as copying, filing, and so on.
  • The candidate will be required to create individual performance plans, objectives, goals, strategies, and measures (OGSM).
  • The candidate will be expected to prepare management reports, restaurant reports/requirements, and other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English language.
  • The candidate should be a high school graduate.
  • The candidate must have at least (6) months experience as a Team/Crew Leader/Trainer in a quick-service restaurant, any food service or retail operations, and/or equivalent combination of education & experience from which comparable knowledge, skills & abilities have been achieved.
  • The candidate must have completed the Basic Operations Training Program.
  • The candidate must have Food Safety Certification (ServSafe)
  • The candidate should be familiar with Shift Management, FSC Management, Customer Feedback Management, Profitability Management and Financial Analysis (FC/PC/Labor Cost), Sales Information Management, and Local Store Marketing.
  • The candidate will be expected to establish the business.
