Job description

  • Candidates will develop/manage conference budget, planning schedule, production and distribution of all conference-related print and electronic materials (web pages), and collection and publication of abstracts and proceedings.
  • They will research, recommend/select suppliers; negotiate, plan and coordinate goods, social activities, tours, special events, accommodation, customs arrangements, ground & air transportation, and program support (space, equipment and services).

Job requirement

  • Candidates must keep abreast of current trends in meeting planning by attending relevant seminars, conferences, etc. and by maintaining membership in industry-related associations.
  • They have to evaluate, recommend and implement enhancements to systems, procedures and services.

Work setting

  • Candidates must have the ability to ensure that conference revenues and expenses are documented appropriately, review financial reports to ensure account integrity and accuracy, and ensure that expenditures are within budget.
  • They should possess the capability to provide annual projected and actual revenues and expenditures to the Director of Conference Services.
  • They ought to possess the ability to perform other related duties as required.
