Job Description

  • The candidate will be expected to look after the emotional well-being of children.
  • The candidate will be required to take children to and from school and appointments.
  • The candidate will be required to supervise and care for children.
  • The candidate will be required to provide personal care such as toileting, bathing etc.
  • The candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious meals.
  • The candidate will be required to provide age-appropriate educational training through organized activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings.
  • The candidate must be able to mend clothing and linens.
  • The candidate will be required to maintain a safe and healthy environment in the home.
  • The candidate will be required to keep records of daily activities and health information regarding the child.
  • The candidate will be responsible for instructing children in personal hygiene and social development.
  • The candidate will be expected to discipline children using the methods specified by the parents.
  • The candidate must bathe, dress, and feed infants and children.
  • In the absence of the householder, the candidate would be able to assume full responsibility for the household.
  • The candidate will be required to assist clients in water (i.e. pool).
  • The candidate will be in charge of providing bedside and personal care.
  • The candidate will be required to administer medication to sick children based on specific instructions from their parents.
  • The candidate will be expected to participate in regular exercise, such as walking.
  • The candidate will be responsible for planning and supervising balanced routines that include physical activities, rest, and playtime.
  • The candidate will be expected to assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene.
  • The candidate will be in charge of washing, ironing and pressing clothes and household linens.
  • The candidate will be required to travel with family on trips and assist with child supervision.
  • The candidate will be required to perform light housekeeping duties like  cleaning and tidying the room or house, changing beds etc.
  • The candidate will be expected to assist children with their homework.
  • The candidate will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment.
  • The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety of children in your care.
  • The candidate will be expected to go shopping for food and household supplies.

Job Requirements

  • The candidate should be fluent in English or French languages.
  • The candidate should have minimum qualification of Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have at least 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related industry.
  • The candidate will be required to supervise and care for multi-aged group of children
  • The candidate should be a good team player with enough interpersonal and judge-mental skills.
  • The candidate should be organized and flexible in nature.
  • The candidate should be punctual.
  • The candidate should be dependable.
